Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Minimum three years of experience as a staff accountant and/or financial analyst or related function.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Excel absolutely required. Some system programming skills and ability to use Access are desirable.
- Detail oriented team player with innovative and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are required. Independent and proactive worker that has experience in creating and developing financial statement analysis and managing daily treasury function with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal communication skills required. Experience in working across all levels of management up to the CEO. Exposure to working within focus groups and leading special projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain daily banking activities, including tracking and management of revolver balances, preparation of cash management spreadsheet, initiation of cash requirement requests, coordination of quarterly debt repayments, general oversight of liquidity needs.
- Preparation of monthly account analysis and investigation/resolution of reconciling items, including reporting of unusual activity or balances requiring ability to understand and digest critical business processes.
- Preparation of monthly sales commissions.
- Preparation of standard month end closing journal entries, upload of payroll journal entries.
- Preparation and deployment to regional business units of monthly reporting package.
- Assist branch offices in reviewing their monthly financial package, highlighting critical issues and providing recommendations on performance and answering questions.
- Analyze actual financial statements compared to budget projections, investigate variances and provide explanations to CFO and Controller. Occasionally responsible to prepare and present schedules to update management on results and trends.
- Run and prepare month end executive accounting package including separate company and consolidated financial reporting results. Work with Accounting and IT to automate monthly consolidated financial statement preparation.
- Year end audit preparation.
- Learn and become fluent in Mincron report writer.
- Assist in acquisition due diligence and integration planning..
- All other duties as prescribed by the accounting manager/controller and special project requests by CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years experience with AS/400 and PCs.

- Extensive, hands-on PC knowledge of Microsoft Products.
- Knowledge of AS/400 commands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoots PC, LAN/WAN and AS/400 Hardware Problems.
- Installs, configures and upgrades PCs.
- Troubleshoots computer communications equipment in remote locations.
- Installs and supports RF terminal equipment.
- Installs AS/400 PTFs and monitors system messages.
- Performs month-end processing.
- All other duties as assigned.
